2020 MULLY OPEN

DUE TO THE CONTINUATION OF COVID19, ONCE AGAIN. THE  2020 MULLY OPEN WILL BE POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE.  WE ARE HOPING TO RUN THE TOURNAMENT IN THE EARLY FALL.  PLEASE CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THIS SITE FOR UPDATES AS THEY WILL BE POSTED AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.

PART 1

(2019 summary) I would like to start by congratulating last years Mully Open Champs Jm and John Wheeler, Scott Wood and Tommy Pohjohlainen, to see the looks on their faces while being crowned the champs was priceless, and it really identifies what this tournament is all about (that any team can win on any given day) there is always going to be a negative perspective from some teams that believe (after seeing the final score) they never had a chance to reach that score..to be honest, in some cases this is true, for example: Mike Goodes team, on a good day can shoot -12,-13,with no handicap, but they also know that this might not transmit into a win. All they can do is control their own destiny, what happens around them will determine what place they finish in, if a weak team has an amazing day they will lose. 99% of our golfers accept this concept and realize we're here for a fun day with lots of other activities going on.

PART 2

(covid 19) at this time, keep in mind that this is only speculation and that anything could change as we move forward.  Hopefully we will be golfing by this time, but be prepared for restrictions. We would like to continue our tournament with the same format that we are used to, however, we will modify it for the safety of our members. We will continue to monitor the situation before we decide the fate of the tournament for 2020.  Some restrictions we might have to adapt to are A) possibility of 1 person/cart,leaving us with more walkers B) the meal on the go, hamburger or sausage with fries or salad, C) keeping social distances, masks D) closing ceremonies outside, small groups at a time go inside to claim their prizes

PART 3

(2020 outlook) once the golf courses open and Kedron post their restrictions, it will be then when I decide what path we take.so as for now, I am not collecting money for the tournament yet (this years tournament fee is $105 ) however it might be a good idea to put the money aside just in case I need to collect, with little notice.  When I know more i will be contacting one member of each team to find out if your team is a go, so please do your research in advance. If you pay for the tournament and for some reason we have to change the date and you can't make it, all monies will be returned.  When the time comes, we will post the price of golf, the food and the cart separate for you to decide what suits you.

Stay Safe!
